This genetic map was developed by Rob Stonehouse. Genotyping data was produced by screening the LR-06 population with the Multispecies Pulse SNP Chip. The map consists of 1069 markers across 7 LGs. This map was generated using ICIMapping Software.
Warning: While the following issue has been fixed with careful, manual effort, you should keep this in mind when using this map.
Parents of the cross were genotyped in order to properly orient segregating markers. However, the results of these DNA samples were not reflective of what would be expected from the parents of this RIL population. Either the DNA samples were not accurate, or the actual parents of the population are not what is reported. This made orienting markers for the purpose of linkage mapping much more difficult.
With care and consideration, linked markers were oriented, and a best-fit map was completed. However it should always be noted that any grouping or area may be oppositely oriented with respect to other areas of the map. This is especially important when QTL mapping and assigning parental contributions.
