Carotenoid Concentrations: LDP 2018 using LCMS

Overview
Objectives

Measure the carotenoid concentrations in the AGILE Lentil Diversity Panel (LDP).

Experiment Summary

Seeds from a field trial at Sutherland in 2018 for lentil diversity panel of 324 accessions were used for carotenoid quantification. All carotenoid concentrations were determined using liquid chromatography/mass spectrometry (LC/MS) and recorded in micro grams per gram (µg/g). In addition, the cotyledon color of dehulled seeds was quantified using a Nix Spectro 2 device and data decomposed into CIELAB L* a* b* colour space values.

LDP Carotenoid Dataset (XLSX, TSV)

This dataset consists of the concentration (ug compound per gram dry weight of initial powdered sample) for four carotenoids, as well as the total carotenoid. Samples consist of 1 site-year and 324 genotypes.
