The CT30 Genome Assembly v1.0 genome assembly will aid in determining the genetic control of virulence. The virulent race 0 was sequenced at 1481-fold genomic coverage which was assembled into 50 scaffolds with a total size of 56.10 Mb and an N50 scaffold length of 4.89 Mb. The assembly consists of 10 core and two minichromosomes ordered and oriented using a population (race 0 × race 1, n = 94 progeny isolates) sequencing‐based, high‐density (14 312 single nucleotide polymorphisms) genetic map.

This release consists of three paired‐end libraries (insert sizes of 250, 300, 350 bp), two mate‐pair libraries (insert sizes of 5, 10 kb). The high‐quality HiSeq and MiSeq paired‐end reads were assembled into contigs using SOAPdenovo2 and the resulting contigs were anchored with a kmer of 81 using the mate‐pair reads.
