Legume Root Rot Workshop 2015

A workshop was held on November 7, 2015 at Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada for researchers interested in root rots of pulse crops. The workshop was held the day after the North American Pulse Improvement Association (NAPIA) biennial conference. Eight presentations were given in total, with the keynote presentation by Marie-Laure Pilet-Nayel who connected by Skype from Rennes, France. Aphanomyces euteiches was the main focus of the workshop, but other root rotting organisms were also discussed, particularly various Fusarium species. Presentations covered topics including epidemiology, root rot management and control, and genetic resistance to root rots.
